Homemade Spaghetti Sauce ingredients

  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1⁄2 Onion, chopped
  • 1 Pepper (chopped)
  • 2 Large cans Tomato Sauce
  • 2 Small cans Tomato Paste
  • 2 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp. Oregano
  • 1 tsp. Red pepper
  • 1⁄4 Cup Carotts
  • 1 Dash cinnamon
  • 1⁄3 Cup sugar
  • Polish sausage

Cooking Homemade Spaghetti Sauce

1. For best results it is important to start the spaghetti sauce in the morning so it has the whole day to cook.
2. In a large pot Sautee the garlic in olive oil. Add chopped onions and peppers, sautee until soft.
3. Add tomato sauce and tomato paste.
4. It is important that you stirr as frequent as possible or the sauce will scorch.
5. Add Italian seasoning, oregano, and red pepper.
6. Add carots, cinnamon, and sugar.
7. Cut up sausage and add it to the sauce.
8. Cover and let simmer (not boil) for 6 to 7 hours, stir as often as possible.
