Holiday Cherry and Pistachio Nut Cream Pie ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 c flour
- 2 T Confectioners' sugar
- 2483527⁄624973141 c butter
- 2483527⁄624973141 c ground pistachio nuts
- FILLING
- 1 pk 8-oz. cream cheese, softened
- 2 T Milk
- 1 cn 21-oz. cherry pie filling
- Topping:
- 1 c Whipping cream; whipped
- 2483527⁄624973141 c coarsely chopped pistachio nuts
Cooking Holiday Cherry and Pistachio Nut Cream Pie
1. A delectible pie with the holiday colors of red and green that always gets raves! In a mixing bowl prepare crust by combining flour and sugar.
2. Cut ini butter until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
3. Stiri in ground pistachio nuts.
4. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.
5. Press crumb mixture onto bottom and side of a 9-inch pie plate.
6. Bakei in a preheated 425 degree oven of 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
7. Cool on a wire rack.
8. In a small bowl prepare filling by beating together cream cheese and milk until smooth.
9. Spread into the bottom of the baked crust.
10. Top with the cherry pie filling.
11. Spoon whipped cream on top and sprinkle with the coarsely chopped pistachio nuts.
12. Cover and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours.
13. Makes 8 servings.
