Holiday Appetizer Quiche ingredients

  • Crackers
  • c butter flavor shortening
  • ---FILLING---
  • 2 c Shredded Swiss cheese
  • c chopped ham -- cooked Or
  • c sausage -- cooked Crumbled
  • -- OR
  • c pepperoni -- diced OR
  • Bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c thinly sliced green onions and tops
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Snipped fresh parsley
  • 1 jar diced pimentos -- well drained (1/3 c.)
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 c Whipping cream
  • 1 c Half-and-half
  • 1 t Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Pepper

Cooking Holiday Appetizer Quiche

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees for crust, combine flour and cracker crumbs.
2. Cut ini butter flavor shortening until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.
3. Sprinkle wi th 1/2 cup water, a tablespoon at a time.
4. Tossi with fork until crumbs are compl etely moistened.
5. Press mixture into bottom of ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan. P rick crust with a fork.
6. Sprinkle Swiss cheese, ham, onions, parsley, and pimien tos evenly over crust.
7. Beat eggs, cream, half and half, salt, and pepper.
8. Pour over filled crust.
9. Bakei at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until set. Cool for 5 minutes.
10. Cut in 1 1/2 by 2 inch pieces.
11. Serve warm.
12. Makes 50 appetizers.
13. NOTE: Crust may bubble during baking and need to be pricked with a fork again.
