Herb rolls ingredients

  • 4 T butter Or margarine
  • 3 T Finely chopped onions
  • 1 Cloves garlic, minced
  • 3⁄4 t Dried oregano
  • 3⁄4 t Dried basil
  • 3⁄4 t Dried tarragon
  • 1 c water
  • 3 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 t Salt
  • 1 1⁄2 t Sugar
  • 1 1⁄2 t Red Star yeast

Cooking Herb rolls

1. In a small skillet, melt the butter.
2. Add the onion, garlic, and herbs.
3. Sautei over medium heat until the onion is soft, about 5 min. cool to room temperature.
4. Place all ingredients in the bread pan (including the cooled onion mixture), select dough setting, press start.
5. When dough has risen long enough, machine will beep.
6. Turn off bread machine, remove bread pan, and turn out dough onto a floured countertop or cutting board.
7. Gently roll and stretch dough into a 24-inch rope.
8. For 1 ½ lb: with a sharp knife, divide dough into 18 pieces.
9. Roll into balls and place in a greased muffin tin(s), 9" x 13" pan or on a greased cookie sheet.
10. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 30 - 45 min until doubled.
11. Bakei in 400°F oven 12- 15 min until golden.
12. Serve warm.
