Helen's baked beans in tomato sauce ingredients

  • 1 lb Pea beans
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c onions, diced
  • 1 Green Pepper
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Celery, diced
  • 28 oz Tomato sauce
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 t Dry mustard
  • 1 T Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c light molasses
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Brown sugar

Cooking Helen's baked beans in tomato sauce

1. Soak beans overnite.
2. Cook soaked beans till tender.
3. Chopi vegetables.
4. Simmeri onion, pepper, and celery but do not brown.
5. Place all ingredients in a casserole or bean crock and bake at 300f for 2-7 hours till done.
6. Process them for 1 hour in a water bath canner.
