Heiss kartoffelsalat ingredients

  • 4 large Potato
  • 2 T Onion, chopped
  • 4 sli Bacon
  • 2 T flour
  • 4 T Bacon grease
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Vinegar
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Sugar
  • Salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • Celery seed, to taste
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Water, or pickle juice

Cooking Heiss kartoffelsalat

1. Wash potatoes and cook them in their jackets; when cool, peel and dice them, then add the onion.
2. Mixi lightly, and set aside.
3. Fryi the bacon crisp; drain, and set aside.
4. Blend flour into bacon drippings with a fork; add vinegar, sugar, seasonings and liquid to make a sweet and sour sauce; stir with a fork until smooth.
5. Add potato mixture, and toss until cooled.
6. Heat only until all ingredients are hot.
7. Before serving, add the crisp bacon pieces.
