Hawaiian namasu

Hawaiian namasu ingredients
- 4 Young cucumbers, sliced
- -thick
- 2 Carrots, thinly sliced
- 2 large Onions, sliced
- 3 Stalks celery, sliced
- 1⁄3 c Brown sugar
- 3⁄4 c Vinegar
- 1 T Salt
- 1 t MSG
- 1 c water
- 1⁄4 lb Smoked salmon (lox)
Cooking Hawaiian namasu
1. Should be prepared ahead combine sugar, vinegar, salt, water, msg, and bring to a boil.
2. Pour over sliced vegetables.
3. Cool. Refrigerate overnight.
4. Serve with thin slices of smoked salmon.
