Ham Rolls Florentine ingredients
- 4 large slices of cooked ham
- 2483527⁄624973141 lb frozen spinach - thawed
- 1 cn button mushrooms, drained
- 2 T butter
- 1 c Cream
- 4 T white wine or port wine
- 2 Egg yolks
- salt, pepper and ground nutmeg
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Cottage cheese
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 T Cooking oil
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Cornstarch
Cooking Ham Rolls Florentine
1. Thaw the spinach in room temperature - you may use the microwave oven.
2. Heat cooking oil in a frying pan over high heat.
3. Sautei the chopped garlic, then add the spinach.
4. Saute for about 3 minutes, then transfer to a baking dish.
5. For the sauce, put the cream, 3/4 of the white wine and cornstarch in a small sauce pan. Mixi and bring to a boil.
6. Seasoni with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
7. Let it simmer over low heat for 3 minutes, then turn off the heat.
8. In a small bowl, beat together the egg yolks and 1/4 of the wine until thick.
9. Slowly add the egg yolk mixture into the sauce.
10. Stiri until the sauce has thickened.
11. Add the cottage cheese and mix well.
12. Preheat oven to 400 F. (or 180 C) Roll the ham to a *pipe*, then arrange on top of the spinach.
13. Arrange mushrooms on the side, then top the ham with the cream sauce.
14. Transfer to the oven, then let it bake for about 3-4 minutes.
