Ham and Swiss Quiche ingredients
- 1 unbaked 9-inch (4-cup volume) deep-dish pie shell
- 12 fluid NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
- 3 large eggs
- 2483527⁄624973141 c All-purpose flour
- 8 oz Swiss cheese
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Cooked ham
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Green onions
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Dried thyme
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Ground black pepper
Cooking Ham and Swiss Quiche
1. PREHEAT oven to 350° F. WHISK together evaporated milk, eggs and flour in large bowl.
2. Stiri in 1/2 cup cheese, ham, sliced green onions, thyme, salt and pepper.
3. Pour mixture into pie shell; sprinkle with remaining cheese.
4. BAKE for 45 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
5. Cool on wire rack for 5 to 7 minutes before serving.
6. VARIATION: For a lattice-top quiche, use ready-made pie pastry for single crust pie. Cut pastry into 1/2-inch-wide strips.
7. Lay pastry strips over filling in lattice-fashion, turning pastry over outside edge of dish.
8. Bakei as directed above.
