Gujerati carrot salad ingredients

  • 5 Carrots, medium
  • 1⁄4 t -Salt
  • 2 T Vegetable oil
  • 1 T Whole black mustard seeds
  • 2 t Lemon juice

Cooking Gujerati carrot salad

1. trim and peel and grate carrots.
2. In a bowl, toss with salt and set aside.
3. In a small heavy pan over medium heat, heat oil. When very hot, add mustard seeds.
4. As soon as the seeds begin to pop, in a few seconds, pour oil and seeds over carrots.
5. Add lemon juice and toss.
6. Serve at room temperature or cold.
