Guisadong sitao (sauteed long beans) ingredients

  • YIELD: 5 SERVINGS
  • 3 c Chinese long beans (sitao)
  • - cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 ea Tb vegetable oil
  • 2 ea Clove garlic, minced
  • 2 med Onion, sliced
  • 1 med Tomato, sliced
  • 1⁄2 c Sliced pork
  • 1⁄2 c Shrimp, shelled
  • 1⁄4 c Shrimp juice (optional)
  • 1 ea Tb soy sauce)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Guisadong sitao (sauteed long beans)

1. In a skillet over medium heat, saute garlic in oil until lightly browned.
2. Add onion and tomato slices and cook for 2 minutes.
3. Add pork and soy sauce.
4. Simmeri for about 15 minutes or until pork is tender.
5. Add shrimps, long beans, shrimp juice, a little salt and pepper, and let cook for another 10-15 minutes or until long beans are tender.
6. Correct seasoning to taste.
7. Transfer to a serving container and serve immediately.
8. Serves 4-5 note: green beans can be used in palce of the long beans in this recipe.
