Goreng Pisang (Chinese Fried Bananas) ingredients
- 8 Bananas; peeled
- 1⁄2 c Self-Rising flour
- 1⁄2 c Rice flour
- 1 T Cornstarch
- 1 c water
- 1⁄2 t Salt
- 4 T Fine brown sugar
- Oil for deep-frying
Cooking Goreng Pisang (Chinese Fried Bananas)
1. Slice each banana lengthwise.
2. Sifti flours and add to water.
3. Stiri until consistency of cream.
4. Add salt.
5. Heat oil and, when smoking, dip each piece of banana in batter.
6. Shake off excess and lower into hot oil. Fryi until golden brown and roll in brown sugar.
7. Serve with ice cream.
