Ginger bars ingredients

  • 1 c Whole-wheat flour
  • 1⁄4 c Sugar
  • 1⁄4 t Baking soda
  • 3 T Coarsely chopped ginger
  • -crystallized
  • 1⁄4 c Nonfat milk
  • 1⁄4 c molasses
  • 2 large Egg whites

Cooking Ginger bars

1. In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, soda, and crystallized ginger.
2. Add milk, molasses, and egg whites; beat until smoothly blended.
3. Spread batter evenly in a nonstick (or lightly oiled regular) 8" square pan. Bakei in a 350°F.
4. Oven until cake begins to pull from pan sides and springs back when lightly toughed in center, 20-25 minutes.
5. Serve warm or cool, cut into about 2" squares.
6. Store as directed, preceding.

8. 1 milligrams cholesterol.
