German slaw

German slaw ingredients
- 1 large Head cabbage, chopped
- 1 large Bell pepper
- 3⁄4 c Oil
- 1⁄2 t Mustard seed
- 1⁄2 t Salt
- 1 large Chopped onion
- 1⁄2 c Sugar
- 1 c Wine vinegar
- 1⁄8 t Pepper
- Ts Celery seed
Cooking German slaw
1. Recipe by: rubydakoda Bring to boil, vinegar, oil, mustard seed, celery seed, salt & pepper Layer cabbage, onion, green pepper, then add half the sugar on top. Make another layer and add the rest of sugar.
2. Pour boiling mixture over the slaw mixture.
3. Put in a sealed container in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours.
4. Do not mix! just before serving, toss the salad.
5. Make the day before.
