German potato salad #2 ingredients
- 5 Bacon, Strips
- 3⁄4 c Onion, chopped
- 2 T flour
- 2⁄3 c Vinegar
- 1 1⁄3 c water
- 1⁄4 c Sugar
- 1 t Salt
- 1⁄8 t Pepper
- 6 c Potatoes, cooked, sliced
Cooking German potato salad #2
1. In large skillet, fry bacon until crisp, remove, set aside.
2. Drain all but 3 tablespoons of the drippings, cook onion in it until tender.
3. Stiri in flour, blend well.
4. Add vinegar, and water, cook and stir until bubbly and slightly thick.
5. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves.
6. Crumble bacon, gently stir in bacon and potatoes.
7. Heat thru, stirring lightly to coat potato slices.
8. Serve warm.
