German Chocolate Ice Cream ** ingredients
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Sugar
- 2 T flour
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Cinnamon
- 2 c Milk
- 4 oz Sweet chocolate; melted
- 2 Eggs, beaten
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Shredded coconut
- 2 c Light cream or half & half
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Pecans; chopped
Cooking German Chocolate Ice Cream **
1. Combine sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon in a 2 qt saucepan.
2. Gradually add milk.
3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
4. Cook additional 2 minutes.
5. Remover from heat.
6. Blend in melted chocolate.
7. Blend a small amount of hot mixture into eggs; return all to pan, stirring constantly.
8. Cook 1 minute (DO NOT BOIL).
9. Remove from heat; add coconut.
10. Cool. Blend in cream; chill.
11. Stiri in nuts.
12. Churn-freeze.
13. Makes 2 quarts.
