Garbanzo Beans

Garbanzo Beans ingredients
- 1 c Garbanzo beans
- 8 c water
- 1⁄2 t Baking soda
Cooking Garbanzo Beans
1. Soak beans by bringing to a boil, then remove from heat and soak for 1 to 4 hours (best if left for at least 4 hours); or soak overnight.
2. Drain soaking water.
3. Combine beans and fresh water (add ½ teaspoon baking soda) in a heavy kettle, bring to a boil; simmer for 2 ½ - 3 hours, until tender.
4. If you do not want to nor do not have the time you may use canned beans.
