Fudgy Date Pudding Cake ingredients

  • 1 c flour
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 3⁄4 c Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1 c California date
  • 3⁄4 c 2% lowfat milk
  • 2 T butter Or margarine
  • 1⁄2 c Brown sugar
  • 1 1⁄2 c water

Cooking Fudgy Date Pudding Cake

1. Sifti flour, ½ cup of the granulated sugar, 3 tablespoons of the cocoa powder and the baking powder into mixing bowl.
2. Combine dates, milk and butter; stir into dry ingredients to blend well.
3. Spread in greased 8-inch square baking pan; set aside.
4. In saucepan, combine remaining ½ cup sugar and 9 tablespoons cocoa powder and the brown sugar.
5. Whiski in water to blend.
6. Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar.
7. Slowly pour over batter in pan. Bakei in 350 °F. Oven 35 to 40 minutes, until wooden pick inserted into cake mixture comes out clean.
8. Serve warm.
9. Note: A cake layer will rise to the top and a layer of fudgy pudding will form on the bottom.
