Fruit Tart ingredients

  • c Whole-wheat flour
  • 1 t Sugar
  • 2 t Ice water
  • 1 t Cornstarch
  • 1 Kiwi fruit, peeled and slice
  • 1 c Thinly sliced Strawberries
  • c All-purpose flour
  • 3 t margarine
  • 2 t Sugar
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Orange juice
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Thinly sliced Banana

Cooking Fruit Tart

1. For crust, combine flours and the 1 Tablespoon sugar.
2. Cut ini margarine till mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
3. Sprinkle with ice water; toss till crumbly.
4. Form dough into a ball.
5. Press dough into a circle on waxed paper.
6. Cover with another sheet of waxed paper.
7. Roll into a 10 inch circle.
8. Remove top sheet of waxed paper; invert onto an ungreased baking sheet.
9. Crimp pastry edge.
10. Prick with a fork.
11. Bakei crust ina 400 deg F. oven for 12-15 minutes or till lightly browned.
12. Cool. Meanwhile, for glaze, combine the 2 teaspoons sugar and cornstarch.
13. Stiri in orange juice.
14. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
15. Remove from heat; cool.
16. Place crust on a serving plate.
17. Arrange kiwi fruit in the center.
18. Arrange bananas around kiwi and berries around bananas.
19. Spoon glaze over fruit.
20. Serve immediately or chill 1 hour.
