Fruit cake bread ingredients
- 2 c All purpose flour
- 1 t Cinnamon
- 1 t Nutmeg
- 1 t Allspice
- 1 t Orange peel, grated
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Mace
- 1 t baking powder
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Baking soda
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
- 1 c Orange concentrate, thawed
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Apple sauce
- c Vegetable oil
- 1 t vanilla
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Pecans or walnuts, chopped
- 1 c Dried apricots, chopped
- 1 c Dates, chopped
Cooking Fruit cake bread
1. Pre-heat oven to 300°F.
2. Lightly oil a 1 ½ quart loaf pan & set aside.
3. whisk together the flour, spices, peel, baking powder, soda & salt.
4. In a in a food processor or blender, blend together the orange juice, apple sauce, oil & vanilla.
5. combine the wet with the dry ingredients.
6. Stiri until the mixture is just combined.
7. Foldi in the nuts & add the dried fruit.
8. Pour batter into the loaf pan & bake until a knife inserted into the centre comes out clean, about 1 ½ hours.
9. Cool on a wore rack.
