Fresh corn and sausage fritters ingredients
- 1 c All-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 t baking powder
- 1 t Salt
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Pepper
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Paprika
- 1 c Sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 c Fresh corn off the cob
- 2 Egg yolks, beaten
- 2 T Milk
- 2 egg whites, beaten stiff
- Oil for frying
Cooking Fresh corn and sausage fritters
1. Sifti flour, baking powder, and spices together in a mixing bowl.
2. Add sausage, corn, egg yolks, and milk; mix until blended.
3. Foldi in stiffly beaten egg whites.
4. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls into oil heated to 360 - 365 degrees.
5. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, turning to brown on all sides.
6. Drain on paper towels.
7. Makes about 24 fritters.
