  • 4 Slices of bread
  • 2 T butter, melted
  • 1 Egg; lightly beaten
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Milk
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Nutmeg
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t vanilla extract

Cooking French toast waffles

1. Combine all ingredients, except the bread.
2. If desired, trim crust from bread.
3. Dip slices into the mixture, coating well on both sides, but not drenching.
4. Cook the french toast in a well-oiled, hot waffle iron until crisp.
