French Ham and Cheese Toast with Egg ingredients

  • 4 toasted bread slices
  • 4 cooked ham slices (thick)
  • 4 sli Swiss cheese
  • 1 c grated cheese (gruyere or mozarella)
  • 1 T butter
  • pepper, for seasoning
  • 4 t butter
  • 4 large Eggs

Cooking French Ham and Cheese Toast with Egg

1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Spread butter on half of the bread slices.
2. Place a slice of ham and swiss cheese on top. On the other half of the bread slices, sprinkle grated cheese and top with a dash of ground black pepper.
3. Place all bread slices on a baking tray, then bake in the oven using top heat, until the cheese is bubbly (about 2-3 minutes).
4. Place the bread slice with grated cheese on the ham and cheese toast to make a sandwich.
5. Panfry eggs in butter - sunny side up. Seasoni the egg with salt and pepper, then carefully place on top of the cheese toast as shown in the picture.
6. Arrange on serving plates.
