Fragrant pork adobo ingredients

  • YIELD: 1 RECIPE
  • 1 lb Lean pork meat, ¾" cube
  • 2 t Oil
  • 1 To 2 cl garlic, mince
  • 5 ea Tb Soy or mushroom soy sauce
  • 1⁄4 t Black peppercorns
  • 3 ea Tb Cider vinegar
  • 1 ea Bay leaf
  • 1⁄2 c Plus 2 tb water
  • 2 t Cornstarch
  • Salt, opt

Cooking Fragrant pork adobo

1. Heat oil in heavy saucepan over high heat.
2. Lightly brown pork cubes.
3. Add garlic, soy sauce, peppercorns, vinegar, bay leaf and ½ cup water.
4. Cover and simmer until pork is tender, about 25 to 30 minutes.
5. Stiri cornstarch into remaining 2 tb water until smooth.
6. Stir into pork mixture.
7. Simmeri until thickened.
8. Adjust soy sauce or salt to taste.
9. Remove bay leaf.
10. Serve hot with rice.
