Flour tortillas 4 ingredients

  • 4 c All-purpose flour
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 T baking powder
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 c Warm water
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 T Salt
  • 4 T Lard or shortening

Cooking Flour tortillas 4

1. Combine dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
2. Cut ini shortening.
3. Make a well in the center and add water, a small amount at a time, to form a dough.
4. Kneadi dough in bowl until smooth and elastic.
5. Cover and wet aside for ten minutes.
6. Form dough into egg-sized balls and flatter between palms.
7. With rolling pin, roll each ball into a 6 inch circle, about 1/8 inch thick.
8. Cook on preheated ungreased skillet over medium high heat, apprx.
9. Two min. per side, until tortilla looks slightly speckled.
10. Cover with a clean towel to keep warm and soft until served.
