Flank steak with peanut sauce ingredients
- 3 lb FLANK STEAK, TRIMMED OF FAT
- 2 T Light soy sauce
- 2 t Light soy sauce
- 2483527⁄624973141 t garlic Powder
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Black pepper
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Crushed Red Pepper
- 1 T Olive or vegetable oil
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Creamy peanut butter
- 1 T Rice wine vinegar
Cooking Flank steak with peanut sauce
1. Preheat broiler.
2. Place steak on rack set in broiler pan. Brush top side with 1 tbsp.
3. soy sauce, season with black pepper, set aside.
4. In a small sauce pan, stir together the red pepper, oil and garlic powder.
5. Heat on medium for 1 minute.
6. Add peanut butter, rice wine vinegar and 2 tsp soy sauce with ½ cup water.
7. Cook until smooth, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
8. Keep sauce warm.
9. Broili steak 3" from heat for about 7 minutes, turn over, brushing with remaining soy sauce and seasoning with black pepper.
10. Broil for 7 minutes more.
11. More time will be needed if you want steak well done.
12. Let stand for 5 minutes before slicing.
13. To serve, slice thin across the grain, serve sauce in a small bowl, beside meat dish.
14. Serve with peppered vegetables for a complete meal.
