Firehouse hot chili powder ingredients

  • 6 T Paprika
  • 2 T Turmeric
  • 1 T Dried chili peppers
  • 1 t Cumin
  • 1 t Oregano
  • 1⁄2 t Cayenne
  • 1⁄2 t garlic Powder
  • 1⁄2 t Salt
  • 1⁄4 t Ground cloves

Cooking Firehouse hot chili powder

1. Mixi all ingredients and grind to a fine powder using a mortar and pestle, or food processor or blender.
2. Spice will keep 6 months or so on the pantry shelf.
3. To use: this powder is somewhat more pungent and fresher tasting than a packaged brand, so use a bit less.
4. Yeild: 5.
