Famous Durgin-Park Corn Bread

Famous Durgin-Park Corn Bread ingredients

3⁄4 c Sugar
2 Egg
3⁄4 t Salt
1 1⁄2 c Milk
2 c flour
1 c Cornmeal
1 T baking powder
1 T butter

Cooking Famous Durgin-Park Corn Bread

1. Mixi sugar with beaten eggs.
2. Sifti flour, salt and cornmeal together.
3. Add melted butter and milk.
4. Beat up very quickly and bake in a large buttered pan in a very hot oven (450 degrees).

I always thought this was 'amusment park' cornbread. I see there is a difference. I found a site recipecomparison.com where I could kind of line the two up and I saw that what I know as this recipe has some variation. A dash of vanilla for starters. Anyway, glad I stumbled on this recipe ( and the other site for that matter) I can't wait to try this new recipe, thank you so much for sharing.- Cheers!
