- 1 T Cocoa -- (1 to 2)
- 1 T Milk
- 1⁄2 c Nuts -- coarse chop
- 1 T -Shortening
Cooking Family cake with broiled topping-mix
1. Bakei family cake as recipe directs (recipe in this group of recipes) combine remaining ingredients in order shown.
2. After cake has cooled slightly, spread with cocoa mixture.
3. Place in broiler with surface of cake about 4 inches from heat source.
4. Broili until frosting bubbles.
5. Watch carefully to avoid scorching.
6. Yield: one 8-inch square cake.
