Falafel (chickpea burger) ingredients
- 1⁄2 lb Dried garbanzo beans or fava beans
- water, to cover
- 1 T Chopped cilantro
- 1 T Chopped parsley
- 4 Green onions; chopped
- 2 clv garlic, minced
- 1 t Cumin
- 1 pn Baking soda
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Water, to moisten, optional
- olive oil, for frying
Cooking Falafel (chickpea burger)
1. Preparation time: 10:0 rinse dried beans under running water; place in the slow cooker and cover with water (at least 2 inches over top of beans) cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.
2. Pour off water; rinse under cold water and allow to drain.
3. Place cooked beans in a food processor.
