  • 2 lb Venison steaks
  • 8 Slices Bacon
  • 6 Potatoes sliced
  • 3 Onions, sliced
  • pepper, to taste
  • Salt to taste

  • 1 cn (10 oz.) beef consomme
  • 1 cn Cream of mushroom soup

Cooking Elfie''s Venison Steak Casserole

1. Place half the bacon in large casserole; cover with layer of potatoes and onions.
2. Seasoni each layer with salt, pepper, and thyme.
3. Place steak on vegetables; repeat layers.
4. Mixi soup with consomme.
5. Pour over dish.
6. Place remaining bacon on top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 2 hours.
7. Liquid may be drained and thickened for gravy to serve over rice.
