Eggless, Milkless, Butterless Cake

1. Cook together sugar, water, raisins, drippings and salt.
2. Let cool.
3. Sifti together flour, soda, ginger and cinnamon.
4. Stiri into the cooled cooked mixture.
5. Mixi well.
6. Bakei 1 hour at 350F in a greased loaf pan. To make a delicious fruit cake add a cup of chopped dates, 1 cup mixed peel, 1/2 cup nuts or drop by teaspoonfuls on a cookie sheet and bake 15 minutes.
