Deer Backstrap ingredients
- 1 whole venison backstrap
- 1⁄2 lb Bacon slices
- 1 T Salt
- 1 T Black pepper
- 1 t garlic Powder
Cooking Deer Backstrap
1. An easy recipe for venison backstrap is to cut it lengthwise into 3 equal strips.
2. Seasoni to taste (we use salt, pepper and garlic powder) then roll each strip up, circle with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
3. What you should have will look like a filet mignon and after you grill it rare over coals will taste twice as good.



another easy recipe
cut the meat into slice you want, and soak it in hiland orange juice over night, the next day it shoulbe ready at aboout lunch time. take out the meat and tenderize it and set it on a pan or plate. next you need to put some flower in a bowl(any amount that you need) add 1T salt, 1T pepper, and 1T garlic salt, and if you want to you can add some season salt to it also. next put two or three eggs in a bowl and mix in a little less milk than you did eggs. then one by one put in pieces of the backstrap in the bowl to get it wet and roll it in the flower that you made earlier and fry it on a low setting in just plain olive oil(any kind you like) and that is all
