Dampfnudeln (dumplings)

Dampfnudeln (dumplings) ingredients
- 18 oz flour
- 3 T Sugar
- Salt
- 1 pk yeast
- 2 c Milk
- 1 Eggs
- 2 T Oil
- 2 T butter
- 2 T Sugar
- 2 T Poppy Seeds
- Dried, seedles prunes
Cooking Dampfnudeln (dumplings)
1. 1. make a yeastdough out of flour, 1 sugar, salt, yeast, milk, egg and oil. Let rise and then roll out, 2-3 cm thick and cut with a round cutter into 5 cm diameter circles, let rise again.
2. Fill ech circle with one prune ,pinch good on edges.
3. Heat butter and sugar in a skillet and add 1 cup of water; add the dumplings and cover and simmer 5-8 min on medium.
4. Put the dumplings on platter and melt butter and mix with sugar and poppy seeds and pour over dumplings.
5. Serve warm.
