Curry Of Beef Kenya ingredients
- 1 Onions, sliced
- 1 t curry powder
- 2 T Oil
- 1 t Salt
- 1 t black pepper, ground
- 2 lb beef, stew meat, cut in 1/2 inch cubes
- 2 c liquid, use beef broth, water and/or liquid drained from canned fruit, your choice
- 2 c fruit, use apples, pears, canned pineapple chunks, raisins or any fruit you prefer, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 rice, hot, cooked
- -condiments -
- 1 Onions, green, chopped
- 1 coconut, grated, unsweetened
- 1 Peanuts, chopped
- 1 chutney
Cooking Curry Of Beef Kenya
1. In a large Dutch oveni, saute onion and curry powder in oil over medium heat until onion is soft.
2. Remove onions from pan. Increase heat to medium-high and brown beef (in batches, if necessary).
3. To the crock pot, add onions, beef, salt, pepper and liquid(s).
4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours.
5. About 1/2 hour before serving time, add fruit(s).
6. You may thicken stew with cornstarch mixture, if liquid is too thin.
7. Serve over hot rice with your choice of condiments.
