Curried Deer

Curried Deer ingredients
- 1 kg (to 1 1/2 kg) lean deer meat
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 3 Cloves garlic, crushed
- 3 t Mild curry powder (Sherwood)
- 6 oz Can tomato paste
- 2 Bay leaves
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Cloves (powder)
- 2 c Beefstock *
- 4 Diced carrots
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Raisins OR
- 1 c Grapes
- 1 Diced apple
- 1 t Lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Curried Deer
1. Cut meat into 2 to 3 centimeter cubes.
2. Lightly brown meat, onion and garlic in large, oiled skillet.
3. Add curry powder and tomato paste.
4. Mixi well.
5. Add beef stock and mix in rest of ingredients.
6. Simmeri for 1 1/2 hrs, covered.
7. Almost any part of the deer may be used.
8. Be sure to trim off all the fat and sincew.
9. To keep calories down, use a light vegetable oil for browning the meat.
10. *Beefstock can be made with one cube or package bouillon.
