Curried Beef Stir-Fry

Curried Beef Stir-Fry ingredients
- 3 T soy sauce
- 3 clv garlic, minced
- 1 T minced gingerroot, or 1 tsp ground
- 4 T vegetable oil -- divided
- 1 lb boneless sirloin steak -- cut into 1/8 strips
- 1 large onion -- cut in 1 pieces
- 1 med green pepper -- cut in 1 pieces
- 1 med sweet red pepper -- cut in 1 pieces
- 2 large celery ribs -- sliced
- 1 c Cold water
- 5 t Cornstarch
- 2 t curry powder
- Hot cooked rice or noodles
Cooking Curried Beef Stir-Fry
1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, garlic, ginger and 2 tbsp oil. Add beef; toss to coat.
2. Cover and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
3. In a large skillet or wok, heat remaining oil. Stir-fryi beef over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes.
4. Remove beef and set aside.
5. In the same skillet, stir-fry the onion for 1 minute; add peppers and celery.
6. Stiri-fry for 2 minutes; return beef to skillet.
7. Combine water, cornstarch and curry powder until smooth; add to skillet.
8. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
9. Serve over rice or noodles.
