Crockpot Spiced Rum Cider ingredients

  • 4 Cinnamon sticks, broken
  • 1 t Allspice, whole
  • 1 t Whole Cloves
  • 7 c Apple juice
  • c Brown sugar - packed
  • 1 c Rum (optional)
  • 1 margarine or butter

Cooking Crockpot Spiced Rum Cider

1. Tie cinnamon, allspice, and cloves in spice bag or cheesecloth.
2. In a crockpot, combine spice bag, apple juice, rum and brown sugar.
3. Cover; cook on low-heat setting for 3 to 4 hours.
4. Discard spice bag. Ladle hot punch into cups; float about 1/2 teaspoon of butter on top of the cider in each cup. Yield: 10 servings of 6 ounces each.
