Crab Strudel

Crab Strudel ingredients
- 1⁄2 c butter
- 1 t butter
- 1 c Onions
- 1 t garlic
- 1⁄2 lb Lump crabmeat
- 3⁄4 c white wine
- 8 oz Cream cheese
- 1⁄4 t Salt
- 2 t worchestershire sause
- 1⁄4 t Tabasco sauce
- 3 oz sheets frozen filo dough
- toasted, sliced,
Cooking Crab Strudel
1. Sautei onion in 1 tablespoon butter, until softened.
2. Add garlic and saute for 1 minute.
3. Add crab and wine, simmer until all liquid has evaporated remove from heat and allow to cool.
4. Combine crab mixture, cream cheese, salt, and worcestershire sauce-mix well.
5. Add tabasco sauce to taste.
6. Place 2 filo sheets onto a damp kitchen towel and brush with melted butter.
7. Add 2 more sheets and brush with butter.
8. Repeat until 12 sheets are stacked.
9. Spoon filling onto 1 edge of filo, leaving 3-inches on each side clear.
10. Foldi dough over filling twice.
11. Fold in edges and fold to the end. Seal loose edge with butter.
12. Place, seam side down, onto a greased jelly roll pan. Scorei top to allow steam to escape.
13. Brush top with butter.
14. Finish browning under a broiler if necessary.
15. Slice into individual servings.
16. Garnishi with almonds.
17. Serve hot.
