Cottage Cheese Lasagne ingredients

  • 16 oz Canned tomatoes
  • 15 oz Canned tomato sauce
  • 1 1⁄2 T Oregano
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 1⁄4 t Fennel
  • 1 t Dried basil
  • 8 oz part skim mozzarella cheese
  • 1 Onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 T high polyunsaturated oil
  • 1 lb Lean ground beef
  • 1⁄2 lb lasagne noodles
  • 12 oz 1% lowfat cottage cheese
  • 1 oz Parmesan cheese

Cooking Cottage Cheese Lasagne

1. Simmeri tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings while preparing meat.
2. Sautei onions and garlic in oil until golden.
3. Add meat and brown.
4. Drain off fat. Add tomato sauce and simmer for an hour.
5. Prepare lasagne noodles.
6. In an 8-inch square dish start with a thin layer of sauce, then a layer of noodles, then cottage cheese.
7. Cover with slices of mozzarella.
8. Continue layering, ending with sauce.
9. Sprinkle with Parmesani.
10. Bakei at 350°F for 50 minutes or until lightly browned and bubbly.


I have made it several times and always ask to bring it where ever I go.
