Corn-meal waffles ingredients

  • 1 1⁄2 c Corn-meal
  • 1⁄2 c White flour
  • 3 t baking powder
  • 3⁄4 c Melted shortening
  • 1 Egg, well beaten
  • 1 c Milk
  • 1⁄2 t Salt
  • 1 T Sugar

Cooking Corn-meal waffles

1. Combine egg, shortening, milk, and corn-meal.
2. Sifti flour, measure, and sift with baking powder, salt, and sugar.
3. Add to first mixture.
4. Beat until smooth.
5. Bakei in hot waffle iron.
6. 4 servings.
