Cornmeal mix

Cornmeal mix ingredients
- 4 c unbleached all-purpose flour
- 3⁄4 c Sugar
- 1 c Vegetable shortening
- 1 T Salt
- 1⁄4 c baking powder
- 4 1⁄2 c Cornmeal
Cooking Cornmeal mix
1. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, sugar and baking powder.
2. Stiri to blend well.
3. With a pastry blender, cut in shortening until evenly distributed.
4. Add cornmeal and mix well.
5. Put in a large airtight container.
6. Label as cornmeal mix an store in a cool, dry, place.
7. Use within 12 weeks.
8. Makes about 10 ½ cups of cornmeal mix.
