Coffee hazelnut crescents ingredients

  • 2 t Instant coffee granules
  • 2 t Hot water
  • 1 c butter
  • c Sifted icing sugar
  • 2 c All-purpose flour
  • 1 c Finely chopped hazelnuts
  • Or almonds
  • 6 oz Semisweet chocolate

Cooking Coffee hazelnut crescents

1. Recipe by: canadian living dissolve coffee in hot water; let cool.
2. In bowl, cream together butter, icing sugar and coffee; stir in flour and nuts until well mixed.
3. Chill for 30 minutes.
4. Roll small pieces of dough into logs 3 inches long and ½ inch in diameter.
5. Shape in crescents on ungreased baking sheet.
6. Bakei in 350°F oven for 10 to 12 minutes or just until edges start to brown.
7. Let cool.
8. In top of double boiler over simmering water, melt chocolate; dip ends of crescents into chocolate.
9. Let dry on waxed paper.
