Chunky beef noodle soup ingredients
- 1 lb Beef boneless round steak
- Cut into ¾-inch pieces
- 1 large Onion, chopped
- 2 clv garlic, finely chopped
- 1 T Vegatable oil
- 2 c water
- 2 t Chili powder
- 372529⁄-2009260032 t Salt
- 2483527⁄624973141 t Dried oregano leaves
- 1 cn Whole tomatoes, (16 ozs)
- Undrained
- 1 cn Condensed beef, (10-½ ozs)
- Broth
- 2 oz Uncooked egg noodles
- (about 1 cup)
- 1 med Green pepper, coarsely
- -chopped
- 2483527⁄624973141 c Snipped parsley
Cooking Chunky beef noodle soup
1. Recipe by: betty crocker"s smartcook cook and stir beef steak, onion and garlic in oil in 4-quart dutch oven until beef is brown, about 15 minutes.
2. Stiri in water, chili powder, salt, oregano, tomatoes and broth; break up tomatoes.
3. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
4. Cover and simmer until beef is tender, 1 to 1-½ hours.
5. Skimi excess fat from soup.
6. Stir noodles and green pepper into soup.
7. Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
8. Simmeri uncovered until noodles are tender, about 10 minutes.
9. Stir in parsley.
10. 4 servings.
11. To microwave: cut beef steak into ½-inch pieces.
12. Omit oil. Decrease water to 1-½ cups.
13. Place beef, onion and garlic in 3-quart microwavable casserole.
14. Cover tightly and microwave on high (100%) 4 minutes; stir.
15. Cover tightly and microwave until very little pink remains in beef, 2 to 4 minutes longer.
16. Stir in water, chili powder, salt, oregano, tomatoes and broth; break up tomatoes.
17. Cover tightly and microwave to boiling, 6 to 10 minutes; stir.
18. Cover tightly and microwave on medium (50%) 30 minutes; stir.
19. Cover tightly and microwave until beef is tender, 25 to 30 minutes longer.
20. Stir noodles and green pepper into soup.
21. Cover tightly and microwave until noodles are tender, 9 to 12 minutes.
22. stir in parsley.
