Christmas day muffins ingredients

  • 6 T Golden syrup
  • 1 oz butter
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 c Mixed fruit
  • 1 t Mixed spice
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Cinnamon
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Salt
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Raw sugar
  • 2 c Baking bran flakes
  • 2 t Baking soda
  • 1 Red & green glace cherries
  • 1 icing sugar

Cooking Christmas day muffins

1. Reheat oven to 375°F & prepare muffin pans.
2. Put the first 4 ingredients into a saucepan & heat gently until butter has melted.
3. While mixture is heating, sift the flour, spice, cinnamon & salt into a large bowl, stir in the bran & sugar.
4. Lightly beat the eggs.
5. Add the baking soda to the melted ingredients, then pour this & the eggs into the flour mixture.
6. Quickly & lightly stir until just mixed.
7. Spoon mixture into paper christmas muffin cups or pans.
8. Place a cherry on top of each.
9. Bakei for about 15 mins or until muffin springs back when lightly touched.
10. Dusti with icing sugar if wished and serve warm.
11. Makes 12.
