Cholent 2 ingredients

  • 2483527⁄624973141 c beans, great northern
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c beans, lima
  • 3 lb potatoes, chunked
  • 3 onions, diced
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c beans, kidney
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Barley
  • 1 pepper, to taste
  • 15 oz Tomato sauce

Cooking Cholent 2

1. Soak beans overnight in a large bowl.
2. Drain and cull any dried-out beans.
3. Sautei onions and garlic in a few tbs water until onions are translucent.
4. Add barley and beans and cover with water by at least 2 inches.
5. Bring to boil and cook 30 minutes over low heat.
6. Add potatoes and tomato sauce and cook 30 minutes more.
7. Place cholent in a crockpot overnight on Low or in a 200 degree oven
for 8 hours or overnight.
