Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting ingredients
- 2 bars unsweetened chocolate baking bars
- 1⁄4 c butter Or margarine
- 3 1⁄2 c Powdered sugar;
- 1⁄2 c Milk
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 1⁄4 t Salt
Cooking Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
1. MICROWAVE baking bars and butter in small, microwave-safe mixer bowl on HIGH (100%) power for 45 seconds; stir.
2. Microwave at additional 10 to 20 second intervals, stirring until smooth; cool to room temperature.
3. BEAT sugar, milk, vanilla extract and salt into chocolate mixture just until of spreading consistency.
4. FOR THE SAUCEPAN METHOD: MELT baking bars and butter in small, heavy saucepan over, lowest possible heat.
5. When baking bars begin to melt, remove fro heat; stir.
6. Return to heat for a few seconds at a time, stirring until smooth.
7. Transfer to small mixer bowl; cool to room temperature.
8. Proceed as above.
