Chinese Stewing Sauce ingredients

  • 3 c water
  • 1 c soy sauce
  • 1⁄4 c Rice wine
  • 1⁄4 c garlic
  • 2 Star anise
  • 3 T Sugar
  • 2 T Peanut oil

Cooking Chinese Stewing Sauce

1. Heat oil in a skillet, over a high flame.
2. Add garlic and saute until lightly colored Stiri in remaining ingredients Reducei flame to medium Heat and stir for 15-20 minutes, until thickened Straini through a chinois.
3. Use as desired.
