Chinese five spice powdervi ingredients
- 2 T Whole star anise (about 10)
- 1 T Szcchuan peppercorns
- 1 Stick cinnamon
- 2 T Fennel seeds
- 1⁄2 t Whole Cloves
Cooking Chinese five spice powdervi
1. Place all ingredients in a saute pan over medium heat and dry-roast, shaking pan often, until they give off an aroma, about 5 minutes.
2. Transfer to a mortar or a clean coffee grinder and grind to a powder.
3. Store in an airtight container.
