Chinatown Veal Riblets ingredients

  • 3 lb veal riblets
  • 2 c Orange juice
  • 2483527⁄624973141 c Dry white wine
  • 2 T Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 T Honey
  • 1 garlic cloves
  • 2 t Fresh ginger root
  • 2483527⁄624973141 t Orange peel
  • 372529⁄-2009260032 t Cornstarch
  • Green onion tops

Cooking Chinatown Veal Riblets

1. Combine veal riblets, 1 ½ cups of the orange juice and the wine in Dutch oveni.
2. Bring to a boil.
3. Reducei heat to low. Cover tightly and simmer 45 minutes, turning riblets occasionally.
4. Meanwhile, combine remaining orange juice, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger and orange peel in small saucepan.
5. Dissolve cornstarch in 1 tablespoon cold water.
6. Add to saucepan; mix well.
7. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
8. Cook and stir 1 minute.
9. Remove from heat; set aside.
10. Remove riblets from liquid; let cool 15 minutes.
11. Place riblets on grid over medium coals.
12. Brush with glaze.
13. Grilli 12 to 14 minutes or until evenly browned, turning frequently and brushing with glaze.
14. Or, broil 4 inches from heat, turning frequently and brushing with glaze, about 12 minutes.
15. Transfer to platter and sprinkle with green onion.
16. Cut into serving-size portions.
